A message from the couple:
What is your advice to other couples getting married? I think the most important advice to other couples getting married is to not put too much stock in your wedding day...it is a beautiful, special and important day to celebrate joining together as one in marriage, and of course you should be excited about that and excited to plan that day! But it is just one day in your life together! Your wedding day should be absolutely perfect not because every planned detail turns out exactly how you want, but because it is the first day of a new adventure for you and your spouse! Keep that perspective at the forefront as you're planning, and your day will be the best day no matter what! Photographer: Christa Rene Photography//Dress Designer:Grace Loves Lace//

From The Brides: What will you remember most about your wedding day? How ABSOLUTELY PERFECT that it was and how much love was there between us and our families. No rehearsal, no drama, no time constraints, nothing high maintenance....just simple, pure LOVE! Now that sounds like a special elopement celebration to me :)

Message from Angela Nelson Photography:
Ariel and Stephane came to Maui from Quebec. They quickly realized that planning a large wedding had too many moving pieces. Instead of the big wedding with all that planning, they decided to just focus on themselves and have a simple North Shore Maui elopement. Maui is the most beautiful place to be married. I’m sure of it!I loved this wedding because they chose the North Shore in the evening. While the North Shore beaches can be windy, it adds so much drama to the photos Also, the lighting over there is spectacular, especially in the evening time. For the ceremony, we chose a little spot of beach that had a great view of the West Maui Mountains. And the surf was rolling in for picture perfect waves. We really did have a beautiful evening for their elopement. They had a short ceremony, and then we stayed at Baldwin Beach for our portrait session. Because the North Shore offers such versatility, we were able to get so many great shots even though this was only a one hour photo shoot. Beyond the traditional, gorgeous sweetheart shots, we got photobombed by a giant sea turtle! In the excitement of the day, Ariel and Stephane actually forgot their wedding rings back at the hotel! With Pa’ia traffic, there was no way they could go back and get the rings on time Thankfully, it just so happened I had some extra rings on me. So Ariel got my little wave ring, and Stephane got one of my simple hammered silver bands. And that’s what they used to exchange during their wedding vows! I’m so glad I had extras on hand! Romelle and Yusuke celebrated with an intimate, lighthearted wedding this past Sunday. They live in Kyoto, Japan; so they were able to remotely plan a wedding to celebrate with their friends and family in the states. I loved the nontraditional aspects of the wedding, Romelle and Yusuke got ready in the same room, she was the one to pin on his boutonniere. Her gown was made by her mother, and it was absolutely stunning! The ceremony was at the Johnson Chapel at Amherst College, which was a gorgeous location…so bright and sunny! The reception was at the Lord Jeff, and everyone celebrated with mimosas!

A note from Dani Nicole Photography: Thank you Alli and John for being so generous, loving, and welcoming, for pushing aside the "normal" wedding desires and trends and making your wedding more about the big-picture marriage than the big day, and for allowing me to be there to make sure those intimate memories are never forgotten.

Farah and Matt decided to skip the fancy wedding, and join together as man and wife at the local courthouse, with just their immediate family. They went to a park afterwards to take some family and couple portraits. They threw a larger reception party a few months later to celebrate with the rest of their family and friends. Congratulations Farah and Matt, what a beautiful Courthouse Wedding Elopement!
